Mount Raung Trekking. Raung mountain is located 3,332 meters above sea level, in the east of Java. It has a 2 kilometer wide and 500 meter deep crater surrounded by a rim. The flanks of this mountain is full with vegetation, but the rim is totally empty and exist only of stones. As east java has many vulcano’s, Raung is the highest of them all. Raung is surrounded by smaller mountains such as Suketand Gadung at the northeast and west side. Even from Lovina beach in the North of Bali, Raung mountain can be seen.
